CRRNT Collective consists of eight musicians from eight different countries, all based in and connected through the vibrant experimental music scene of Copenhagen. Since december 2022, we have organized numerous concerts and released a dozen new records under our own label, featuring our own works and artist that we admire. Since we became a collective in 2021, our mission has become to create spaces for less recognized art to meet the audience we think it deserves. Aurelijus
Bassist, improvisor, composer from Lithuania. Bandleader of The Young Immigrants, part of Džiazlaif, Llaki trio, duet with Hein Westgaard, solo project Signals and others.
Laura
Vocalist, pianist, flutist, and composer from South Tyrol in Italy. Currently active with her solo project LOA and her interdisciplinary performance project (What lies) Between two habitats.
Ivar
Drummer and composer from Stavanger, Norway. Co-creator of projects like Billy Meier, Jimini and SESH. Member in bands like Andreas Røysum Ensemble, Konradsen, PJ Fossum trio and others.
Michaela
Composer and saxophone player from Banská Bystrica in Slovakia. Immersed in relatively improvised music, collaborating with creative musicians in between Copenhagen and Prague. Leading her ensemble doudouči, trio Biel.Beins.Turcerová, member of ALAWARI, Prague Improvisation Orchestra.
Luka
Primarily saxophonist, sometimes composer and performer from Ljubljana, Slovenia, crrntly based in Copenhagen. Likes to make sound by himself, with The Gatherers, brazda, Yii, mazagu and other ad-hoc improvised constellations he finds himself in.
Flavia
Performer, flutist, vocalist and composer from Bolivia. Currently leader of Humanas de Niebla ensemble and member of The Space Above and Takykardia. She collaborates with several artists like Andreas Odbjerg and Raphael Gimenes.
Ben
British trumpeter & composer living in Copenhagen. The trumpet and Ben work together to discover sounds not heard before. These sounds are then used to tell stories involving other musicians and can be heard in bands Ben is part of, New Borders, Birth of Pop, I is a Verb and other ad-hoc improvised meetings.
Jon
Saxophonist and composer form Kiel, Germany. In his electro-acoustic solo project, Jon builds songs and acoustic landscapes from the sounds of his instrument. Otherwise, he is part of space jazz band ALIGAGA, acoustic sax trio Jimini, and modern jazz sextet The Young Immigrants among others.
